Twenty years since it was introduced as a “gentleman’s daysailer” the distinctive Alerion Express 28 continues to raise the bar as an amalgam of new technology, performance, and classic design.
To mark the legendary yacht’s 20th anniversary the Pearson Marine Group, owner of the Alerion Express brand, will offer a special edition of the Alerion Express 28 with a production run limited to just five boats.
The anniversary edition with feature electric auxiliary propulsion utilizing the most advanced sailboat pod-drive on the market. The system was developed in collaboration with Mastervolt BV in the Netherlands and has been proven as a reliable, green, high-torque alternative to conventional diesel power plants.
The anniversary model distinguishes itself with a custom tan deck, special edition Hall Spars, teak cockpit sole and bronze plaque. A half model and custom leather grip tiller with an inlaid Alerion logo and special anniversary sail logo on the North Sails main are also part of the package.
Like all Alerions, the boat also sports a Hoyt Jib boom and fully battened main for ease of handling and added performance.
