Review problem: Star sight

Review

You are heading east toward Ireland in mid-summer. Evening twilight is cloudy, but you still manage to get one good sight of Arcturus. The date is June 22, 2002, and your DR position is 37° 42’ N, 54° 21.5’ W. Your height of eye is 10 feet, and your sextant has an index error of 2’ on the arc. Your sight of Arcturus was at 22:44:12 GMT, and your sextant reading (Hs) was 66° 51.3’. Reduce the sight and plot the LP.
