Ocean race canceled by typhoon

The arrival of Super Typhoon Megi has forced the organizers of the Hong Kong to Vietnam Race to cancel the race for the rest of this year. The race was orginally scheduled to start on October 20th. After category 5 super typhoon Megi, with winds up to 155 mph, blew ashore on the Philippines and caused extensive damage  and killed three people, race committe decided to reschedule the race for some time in 2011.
