Icom Features New SSB and Popular Handhelds

KIRKLAND, Wash. (January 2020) – Come see Icom’s latest offering of marine radios at the New York Boat Show, from January 22nd – 26th at the Jacob K. Javitz Convention Center in New York City, booth 1056.

Our newest fixed-mount, Single Side Band (SSB) radio is the M803, and it is the long-range digital communications radio for blue water cruisers looking to reach both marine and ham frequencies beyond the horizon with the Class E DSC MF/HF certification. Features include a distress call button, dedicated DSC scanning, audio replay, GPS, two-minute instant replay audio function, and HF email capabilities. The M803 also includes an advanced RF direct simple sampling system that improves higher receiver sensitivity and higher quality audio. Currently, there are no competing devices on the market, so take advantage of the new M803 to complete your marine communications needs.

The M37 is high-powered, IP57 dust and waterproof-rated VHF handheld that is the perfect size with large keys and an easy-to-grip design. Mariners will appreciate the big LCD display, 6W of RF output power and 700 mW of audio output. This radio also has important features like our very own Float’n Flash that helps easily locate the radio if it becomes submerged, and AquaQuake™, which is a function that clears away water from the speaker, preventing it from becoming waterlogged.

Visit our booth and see why Icom is the popular choice for mariners everywhere.
