Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (Oct. 10, 2019) – The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and Ulysse Nardin announce Ulysse Nardin as the Official Timekeeper for the 60th annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS). “We are thrilled to partner with the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show on its 60thanniversary,” said François-Xavier Hotier, President Ulysse Nardin Americas. “Ulysse Nardin has always had a close connection to the yachting community, with a shared passion for innovation and marine heritage.” From October 30th to November 3rd, the “Yachting Capital of the World” will host exhibitors ranging from yacht builders, designers and all types of marine equipment and toys, to representatives from luxury and collectible automotive brands and superyachts. As part of the show’s 60th anniversary, the new Superyacht Village will be unveiled, expanding upon the show’s seven locations. FLIBS is the largest in-water boat show in the world and attracts over 110,000 boat lovers. “In celebration of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show’s 60th anniversary we are thrilled to present the largest in-water boat show in the world alongside Ulysse Nardin – a brand that celebrates and honors nautical tradition with a passion for living life on the water that matches our own,” said Andrew Doole, President of Informa U.S. Boat Shows. Ulysse Nardin will display its latest novelties in the Windward VIP Club, which is newly located on the Face Dock outside the Superyacht Tent in the Bahia Mar Marina. Coveted collectors’ items such as the Marine MegaYacht ($310,000) and Executive Free Wheel ($99,000) will sit alongside including the classic Marine Torpilleurs (starting at $7,600) and the latest in Freak (starting at $21,000). Ulysse Nardin is honored to partner with non-profit One More Wave and has created a limited edition Diver, which will debut during FLIBS. OMW’s objective is to help wounded or disabled veterans with surf therapy and to get them back in the water by providing customized surfing equipment and assistance. Their passion and spirit resonated strongly with Ulysse Nardin, which has longstanding ties to the sea.  “I had an unforgettable first-hand experience watching the veterans in the One More Wave program in action,” Mr. Hotier remarked. “Their dedication, courage, and camaraderie is inspiring and we hope to bring more awareness to this important work.” Ulysse Nardin will be joined at FLIBS by One More Wave Managing Director and Navy SEAL Kyle Buckett, who has seen firsthand how surf therapy can make a true impact on veterans. “We could not be more thrilled that Ulysse Nardin has chosen FLIBS to launch their new Diver as well as bring recognition to the One More Wave charitable initiative,” added Mr. Doole.
