Harken Adds Single-Function Switch to Line of Digital System Switches

Pewaukee, WI – Harken announces the addition of a single-function Digital System Switch to its unique switch line. Designed to pair with Harken's single-speed UniPower winch for cruising sailboats, this waterproof switch sets the standard for reliability and safety when operating electrically-powered systems.

To accomplish this, safeguards have been built into the system.
    1.    Control buttons send on/off digital signals, rather than continuous analog signals, preventing accidental system activation – even if the system wiring is damaged.
    2.    Watertight seals are never exposed, even in the on position, eliminating potential damage from sun and prolonged use.
    3.    Underneath the control button, two command switches must work in unison before a signal is sent.
    4.    The cover rotates to expose the activation buttons. Rotating to OFF conceals the control function and protects against accidental activation. Integrated lighting provides low light visibility for additional useability.
"Harken completes its pioneering Digital System Switch line with the launch of a single-function Digital System Switch to pair with our single-speed UniPower winch for cruisers," says Davide Burrini, International Sales and Marketing Manager. "We have taken a leadership role in the development of these safety-proven, dependable systems, and are the first to transition to reliable digital switch technologies in the marine industry."

Harken Digital System Switches resist impact, wear, and abrasion. A unique mounting system is available where drilling is undesirable. The product is offered in black polyamide resin or stainless steel.
