New Bedford, MA, USA – Edson International is pleased to announce the addition of Jose Ovies as its new sales representative from ComMar’s CLA division. Jose will be responsible for covering the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America and South America.
Most recently, Jose was part of the Duramax Marine team where he successfully developed a network of distributors throughout the Caribbean, Mexican, Central American and South American areas. On top of this, Jose created a parallel entity called Duramax International. This department acted as a sales representative, and served more than twenty principals, both on the recreational and commercial Marine Trade Segments. Before Duramax, Jose was part of Outboard Marine Corporation and Mercury Marine, restructuring and strengthening the distributor and dealer network for both companies in the Caribbean and Latin America areas. Jose started his career in Latin America as a special representative for Ingersoll Rand, a company marketing a complete line of construction and mining products.
Jose’s involvement in the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America and South America, has allowed him to build up an extensive network in both the industrial and recreational segments. “With Jose’s background in this region, and his remarkable knowledge as a representative, there was no one better suited for the job,” says Edson’s President Will Keene. “We are looking forward to seeing Jose help grow Edson’s business in theses markets, knowing that Jose will be taking great care of our customers.”
