Camden,Maine: Wayfarer Marine and Lyman-Morse Boatbuilding are proud to present Maine's most exciting sail and powerboat regatta of the season – the 2013 Penobscot Bay Rendezvous August 15-18. Sign ups have been coming in early and fast and it is shaping up to be the biggest fleet yet. Space is limited.  
 
What’s happening year?  A new band slated for Thursday night at Lyman-Morse. Girls Guns and Glory will set the tone for the evening. For food, Josh Gamage and Maine Coast Catering have lined up an all Food Truck evening to give the most variety of delicious and original offerings from the mid-coast area. Fireworks once again will cap off the night.
 
The Texas Flying Legends air show on Friday morning off the Rockland Breakwater will officially launch the sailboat racing. The public can view the action from the Rockland Breakwater. The sailboat fleet will race to Camden. Ted Smith and his race committee are in charge of the sailboat fleet and will put together three days of great competitive and fun racing. PBR is open to the serious racer, weekend warriors and novice racers. Smith assigns everyone to the appropriate class guaranteeing good competition for all who enter. New this year will be an award for the most improved sailor.
 
 Steve Bunnell has taken on the mantle of Powerboat Guide for the weekend. He has some great courses lined up for the powerboat fleet exploring Penobscot Bay. The signature powerboat event is the Photo Pursuit. Each day a list of subjects are handed out to the powerboat skippers. During the course of the day the groups photographs the subjects on the list. Each night the photos are downloaded and shown at the evening’s festivities. Prizes are awarded to the top three photographers at Sunday’s Awards ceremony.
