Sportfishing seminar series debuts at the Providence Boat Show

Newport, R.I. – Newport Exhibition Group, owners and producers of the Providence Boat Show, announced today its newly formatted Seminar Series for the 20th Annual Providence Boat Show. Scheduled to take place January 18-20, 2013 at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence, Rhode Island, the three-day seminar series will provide a wealth of information for anglers to use to be successful in their fishing endeavors. Hosted by East Coast Charters and focused on fishing in local waters, the seminar series includes topics for advanced and casual anglers alike.

Captain Jack Sprengel of East Coast Charters is one of the most progressive members of the New England Sport Fishing Community. Known for his edgy style and unique approach to the industry, Captain Jack is a freelance outdoor writer/ photographer and published author. He is a two-time RISAA Angler of the Year, winner of the 2010 Run and Gun Bluefin Classic, placed second in the 2012 Snug Harbor Shark Tournament with Team “Hot Reels”, and recently co-set the new Rhode Island state record for Broad Bill Swordfish with Teammate Captain Lou Defusco. Captain Jack has also made appearances on Don Coyne's Fishing The Ocean State Television Show, Spike TV's coverage of The Monster Shark Tournament, Discovery/Animal Planet’s Off The Hook: Extreme Catches and Boston Sports Radio 1510’s "The Zone".
