Nordhavn delivers first 100-footer

Nordhavn

Nordhavn has delivered its first-ever 100-foot yacht.

The yacht builder turned over Serenity to its new owner in June. The vessel spent the next several weeks on a shakedown cruise around Baja, Mexico, before heading north for a planned cruise around the Pacific Northwest.

The vessel, built for an owner from California, is based on the Nordhavn 86/96 hull design. It features a sport-fishing cockpit separate from the “California” deck that extends the vessel’s LOA by 36 inches, Nordhavn said. The new owner, as you might have guessed, enjoys sport fishing.

Propulsion comes from twin Caterpillar C18 engines producing 600 hp at 1,800 rpm. Its range is 3,000 miles.

Amenities aboard the vessel include a jacuzzi, exterior dining for 12 people, a deck fireplace and exterior head. It also has a fishing cockpit with bait tanks, tackle and rod storage, fighting chair and large fish freezer.

Serenity has five staterooms, each with en-suite head, in addition to quarters for four crew. The master suite is located on the same level as the pilothouse.

In case you’re wondering, Nordhavn did not disclose the sale price.
