The Istanbul Europa race has become the lastest jewel in the crown of Michel Desjoyeaux, who led his team to victory in the contest late Monday night. Desjoyeaux won the 2008-09 Vendee Globe solo round-the-world race, and has several other titles to his credit. He was full of praise for the fledgling Istanbul Europa competition, in which he hopes to compete again in the future.
