For those of you who have always wanted to try your hand at photographing boats, Maine-based marine photographer
Alison Langley will
teach a course from August 27th to September 4th at The Workshops, formerly known as the Maine Photographic Workshops, in Rockport, Maine, with founder and avid sailor David Lyman.
For 34 years, The Workshops have provided serious photographers, filmmakers and visual artists with basic and advanced career training.
“This one-week workshop is for professional photographers, experienced amateurs and emerging pros who want to gain technical knowledge and practical experience in working with boats, sailing and nautical events, for editorial and commercial clients”.
A special feature of the workshop will be covering the 28th Classic Yacht Regatta, hosted by the Museum of Yachting, in Newport, RI. At week’s end there will be a slide show of selected work, which will also be turned into a book, DVD and web site.
