Marina opens in shadow of Brooklyn Bridge

Marina

New York City’s boating community added a new berthing location in April with the opening of ONE°15 Brooklyn Marina. The facility in Brooklyn Bridge Park is a “sister club” to a ONE°15 marina in Singapore.

ONE°15 Brooklyn has more than 100 slips and can accommodate vessels ranging from 16 feet to more than 250 feet. While docked at the secure facility, vessels have access to electricity, water, wireless Internet and sanitary pump-out services.

The marina is located across from Manhattan on the busy East River. ONE°15 is protected from waves and wakes by a Marinetek floating breakwater that the owners say creates the calmest waters in New York Harbor.

The marina has a sailing club and sailing school, and 2 percent of facility services revenues will be used to support community boating programs offered at free and reduced rates. ONE°15 plans to build a dock to serve these programs.

Slips are available at nightly, weekly, monthly and seasonal rates. Details at www.one15brooklynmarina.com
