Voyagers to re-create Bligh’s open-boat trek

Australian sailor Don McIntyre, together with a crew of three other sailors, will attempt to retrace the voyage of Captain William Bligh’s legendary open-boat voyage from Tonga to Timor in the South Pacific. The team, which includes the record-setting teenage circumnavigator Michael Perham, will subsist with limited supplies and cover the 4,000 mile course without the aid of modern navigation systems.
