Keeping track of a boat’s tender is not usually a problem for most people. But for those yacht owners with big boats and several tenders, jet skis, inflatables, speedboats, sailing dinghies or even helicopters there is now a product that allows you to track the progress of all your boat’s auxiliary vessels using a private AIS radio reporting product called the Rendez-vous System.

By putting one of the Rendez-vous boxes (pictured above) in each of your tenders and with a Rendez-vous unit on the bridge of your “home” vessel networked to your electronic chart/navigation display, you can track the position of all those pesky tenders. That’s a task plenty of boat owners might like to have!
