Update on fuel-tank inspection portsJan 1, 2003
A report in the 2002 edition of Ocean Voyager, Ocean Navigator's annual handbook of offshore sailing, on fuel filtration, by Steve C. D'Antonio, contained an error. Retrofit-able viewing ports, for examining the condition of a boat's fuel tanks, are available from Clarus Technologies (not Claris, as stated in the article). Being able to view the contents of a fuel tank is important, since sludge can build up in the tanks and cause filter blockage. For more information, visit www.clarustechnologies.com.
