First, the voyage was done aboard a small catamaran, not a well-documented mode of circumnavigation. Second, the author, a woman, went into the experience blindly and discovered well into the voyage that she was unhappy. Instead of ditching her keen husband, however, she decided to press on and make the most of the situation.And it is fortunate that she did. Her skeptical view of voyaging is refreshing, as is her honest discussion of life aboard a small boat with only one other person, in this case her husband.
