Lunenburg Foundry alive and well

A report in the last issue of Chartroom Chatter exaggerated the demise of the Lunenburg Foundry in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. The report declared that a Brooklyn, N.Y., company had begun making woodstoves from the castings of the defunct foundry. "We are not defunct," declared an emphatic Kevin Feindel, general manager of the Lunenburg Foundry. "The company you reported on, Navigator Woodstoves, has received license from us to produce certain stoves. But we still make our own stoves and a lot of other marine gear."
